Agricultural Province
A Province with an agricultural vocation,The 5 agricultural areas of the Province of Kongo Central (Lukula, Inkinsi, Luala, Kwilu and de la Mer).
These areas need to be connected to the rest of the Province and the rest of the Country. That’s why it’s important that we build roads, railroads and other traffic infrastructures.
The agricultural sector employs 70% of the population.

It has about 2 million hectares of cultivable lands of which only 10% is actually exploited.
Thanks to the fertility of the land there’s two annual harvests for a wide variety of crops with pastoral resources enough to feed tens of millions of livestock.
Its proximity to the capital city provides a large consumer market for all types of products.

1. To sustainably develop the types of crops, primarily food crops, and increase agribusiness, in order to improve the income of farmers and other operators in the sector.

2. Rehabilitate and maintain provincial and local agricultural feeder roads.
3. Boosting again industrial crops: coffee, cocoa, rubber and oil palm. Kongo Central has a production potential of 100,000 tons of palm oil per year.
4. Creation of a Economics Zone (SEZ) oriented towards the development of the poultry industry (laying hens and broilers) as well as the farming of corn and soybeans for livestock feed.
5.To build up niche industries, such as insect breeding, honey production, caterpillar breeding (protein-rich food).
6. Supply ourselves with agricultural equipment adapted to our soils.
